    Description

    A vintage bronze bas relief portrait plaque of Theodore Roosevelt by James Earle Fraser.  It reads at the upper right "Fraser 1920" and at the bottom "Aggressive fighting for the right  is the noblest sport the world affords".  It has a partial heavily worn Decorative Arts League paper label on the reverse and also cast in the metal on the reverse is "DecArts" and "C2".   It measures approximately 10" by 12 3/4" and weighs approximately 6 lb. 8 oz.   Fraser is most famous for his design of the buffalo nickel.  It's in very good condition with minor marks and surface blemishes.  It does not sit flat and has a slight bend in the metal but that's the way it was made (see the last attached image).   Unconditionally guaranteed to be genuine, original, and not a reproduction.  Please see the attached images which give an accurate impression of the cosmetic condition of the item.
