Vintage Buffalo, NY. Dold Meat Packing Wholesale Price Flyer 1900

Description

This wholesale price flyer, dated February 26, 1900, was sent to grocery stores and restaurants by the Jacob Dold Packing Co., a Buffalo, NY. meat packer.  The price list includes a wide variety of pork, beef, and mutton cuts, sausage, hams, and canned meats, lard, sausage casings, and odd cuts like pigs ears and tails, whole pork heads, lamb fries, sheep brains, and beef kidneys.  Whole steers and lambs were also available.  The flyer has an image of a USDA meat inspection stamp on the 1st page and touts the superior quality of Dold's products in the pre-Pure Food and Drug Act era.  Folded the flyer measures 6 in. tall by 3 1/2 in. wide and is in good condition with some surface and edge wear, a few spots of foxing, and some discoloration.
