Villeroy & Boch Mettlach Stein Tankard Art Nouveau circa 1910 3Ltrs!!!

Description

Extremely tall Villeroy & Boch Mettlach Stein Tankard in caramel and tan.  Circa 1920.  Stein cover is the height of floral Art Nouveau whereas the body of the stein exhibits simplicity with the exception of the handle which is again Art Nouveau at it's peak.  Marked Villeroy & Boch Mettlach 2893 II 25 04.  Must have passed a lot of inspector approvals. Stein holds 3 Ltrs of liquid (presumably beer!)  Stein measures  13" H x 5¼ W (at base) Spout to handle 7" W.
