Electric Vehicle (EV) EVSE Charger J1772 Adapter to Onewheel or Scooter or any device that can accept
    240V
Many devices such as phones, laptops, electric bicycles, scooters and efoils have power supplies that work worldwide so be sure you check your device accepts 240V
    before
    plugging into this 240V adapter.
The Vespa elettrica 2020 USA model that comes with a standard 120V 3 prong plug can also charge at 240V from zero to full in under 4 hours with this adapter.
In this pandemic you many not want to hang out inside a coffee shop or laundromat while your device charges or you may want to get power in a remote location that has EV charging and no other public power sources .
This adapter will let you recharge from any Electrical Vehicle charging spot with a J1772 connector.
There is a special circuit added inside that simulates the presence of an electric vehicle through a public EV charger's control pilot protocol so 240V power gets distributed to your device effortlessly.
    Some EV chargers offer
    FREE
electricity and some charge to charge by the kWh or by time. If using a networks such a ChargePoint you typically can use Apple Pay or Google Pay or add the charging network's App to your phone or call their phone number and pay with your credit card/debit card.
    PlugShare
offers both an App and a website that will let you look at
    all
EV charging opportunities including people that will let you plug into their EV chargers or wall outlets to charge an electric vehicle. PlugShare allows you can select the type of connector that you want (such as J1772 or Wall outlet) and use the
    filter
icon to find those that "charge a fee" and those that do not =
    FREE
.  Many people want to support others with electric vehicles in need of a charge to get where they are going.
For the Onewheel enthusiast who has almost everything or anyone else who wants to charge on the go.
If you want to expand the options and locations that you may charge this is a must have gizmo to take with you and your charger when on the go.
For those who have access to
    Tesla destination chargers
(NOT Tesla supercharger) there are sellers of adapters such as "TeslaTap" (not included) that go from Tesla to J1772. Then with this adapter you could go from TeslaTap's J1772 to a regular 2 or 3-prong connector that delivers 240V.
Most Level 2 EV chargers with J1772 connectors deliver up to 6600 Watt of power at 240V... That is enough to power several devices at the same time.
With this J1772 EV adapter, you can now charge your e-bike, electric scooter,  electric skateboard, electric motorcycle, onewheel, efoil, etc. or nearly any personal electric vehicle at all public J1772 charging stations even if you don’t have a J1772 inlet on your vehicle/device. You can also power nearly anything else that has a standard electrical plug as long as it can operate at 240V.
This adapter works by using a specially designed circuit inside the plug that basically tricks the charging station into thinking a vehicle is connected and ready to charge. Features a J1772 inlet and a standard NEMA 5-15 style receptacle which can accommodate devices having either NEMA 5-15 or NEMA 5-20 plugs
Note: This adapter has been tested with the Vespa Elettrica (not included)  and is compatible with this vehicle.
Some Vetrix scooters (not included) also accept a charge from 240V.
    CAUTION!
Make sure your EV charger or appliance is configured to operate on 240V before connecting to the EV charging station! Most EV charging stations operate at between 208 and 240V, so this is very important.
Please refer to the label on your device’s power supply – if it indicates it can accept up to 240V, then you can definitely safely use it with this adapter; however if not, then please DO NOT USE – misuse may damage your device.
Some have used this adapter along with a 2000W travel voltage adapter that convert 240V to 120V to power simple on/off
    heating
devices such as engine block warmers, hair dryers, curling irons, clothes irons hair straighteners and toasters and electric space heaters. See Amazon   B07N1KWMQT or ebay
    254642936003. Others
report that they have also powered 120V devices like a solar generator (EcoFlow Delta) or hair (dryers, curlers and straighteners) with a 240V to 120V step-down transformer like this item on Amazon
B08PTYZQDJ. I personally have only tested directly with devices that are factory designed to accept 240V.
Provided with a NEMA 5-15 connector for compatibility with existing devices such as phones, tablets, laptops ebike/scooter/onewheel/laptop
    efoil
chargers which already come with a standard NEMA 5-15 cord and can operate at 100 to 240V (most of these have universal-voltage input). The adapter can safely output up to 20 amps at 240V which equates to 4800 watt.
If you want to plug more than one device in at a time you may use 120V rated outlet adapters (without surge suppression) such as the ~.25
    Leviton
Grounded Triple Cube Outlet Adapter (not included)

Wow!! I received this high quality product and downloaded the plugshare app. I set my parameters (free charging, connector type J1772, etc.) and quickly located a charge station. I charged my Sur Ron X for 30 minutes while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine, and got a 15% charge increase. I have recommended this product to everyone I know that is using electric vehicles. I can not believe that I did not think about buying this years ago. Thank you for making this. Cheers.
