This is a GENUINE vintage 6" by 7" typed letter dated May 31, 1951 that is signed by former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt in blue ink. It was likely sent to my late great-grandfather (yet possibly my late grandfather, late uncle, or late father...), responding to a request for a Human Rights Commission report. Mrs. Roosevelt provided a referral for the item and then nicely signed the letter.
As you can see from the accompanying scans, there is writing on the front and back of the letter which was applied after it was received. One comment, at the very top on the front, says "Original Sig". The letter has a horizontal fold across the middle, which allowed it to be put inside a mailing envelope. (This does not come with an envelope)
