*Schierholz & Sohn was a highly respected maker of character steins during the “golden age” of Stein making and operated in the small town of Plau not far from Erfurt in the German State of Thuringen. Schierholz & Sohn have created well over 100 different character steins attributed to them. This company is known to have produced an assortment of unsigned special order pieces for different organizations and dealers.
