Theodore Roosevelt
(October 27,1858- January 6, 1919) Was an American statesman, politician, conservationist, and writer who served as the 26th President of the United States from 1901 to 1909. He expanded the powers of the Presidency and the Federal government support of the public interest in conflicts between big businesses and labor and steered the nation toward an active role in world politics, particularly in Europe and Asia, He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1906 for mediating and end to the Russo-Japanese war 1904-1905, and he secured the route and began construction of the Panama Canal  1904-1914.
Robert Shaw Oliver
(September 13,1847- March 15,1935) was born in Boston Massachusetts. Graduating from a military academy in Ossining New York, he served as a second Lieutenant in the 5th Massachusetts Colored Cavalry at 17 years old. After the civil war, he remained in the Army and assigned to the 25th Army Corps in Texas and the 8th  U.S. Cavalry in California, Oregon, and Arizona  fighting many Indian Campaigns until 1879. He served as a Brigadier General of the 3rd brigade of New York State Militia. In 1903 he was appointed Assistant Secretary of War by
