This is the authentic, original Captain's mug from the Honey Fitz & Sequoia, the two Presidential Yachts used by John F. Kennedy throughout his time as President. The ceramic mug originates with the yachts' Captain, a Kennedy insider who served aboard the Honey Fitz & Sequoia from 1961-1963. Measuring approx. 3.5" tall with a diameter of 3.25", the vintage white mug features a classic 1960's style and is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or blemishes of any kind. The forward side center of the mug is emblazoned with the Seal of both Presidential Yachts in blue and the title CAPTAIN also in blue appearing immediately below. Two Honey Fitz Captain

. An exhaustive search of offerings finds that no Captain's mug featuring the seals of BOTH Presidential Yachts has ever been offered by any major auction house -- making this an exceedingly rare piece of Kennedy White House history.
As a witness to history, this extraordinary relic has been preserved for nearly six decades. It comes from the captain's estate, a Presidential aide who worked aboard both Presidential Yachts -- the Honey Fitz and the Sequoia -- while Kennedy was in office.
