MOTOROLA / UNICATION WORKING Pager Beeper: COMES WITH NUMBER/SERVICE. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class.
I got this pager from a woman who said her daughter used it twenty years ago and its been sitting around the house since. It had a big sticker on the back with the pager's phone number. When I could, I put in a fresh battery, and for fun, dialed the number, and shockingly, a few seconds later, the pager beeped showing the number I had typed into the phone. I tested the pager about 30 times. There was a short period, when the pager only beeped one out of three times. Then I realized, I had not completely waited for the announcement to beep before I began to type in my return number. Afterwards, it worked every time. All the pager buttons seem to work as well as the functions. There is normal were and tear scuff marks throughout (see pic).
Nevertheless, I think someone could use this. Some people are too young to know exactly how pagers work. FYI: You call a person's pager number, wait for the message that says, "Type in your number followed by the pound sign". Once you follow those instructions exactly, the person's pager will beep, showing them the number you typed in. It is cool old school tech, with a lot of privacy. Speaking of privacy, there was someone's name on the front of the pager in the lower left side, and for privacy reasons, I blocked the name out in the pic.
Note: There is no reason to believe that the free service will not continue, however, I cannot guarantee it. It is likely, some sort of prepaid account that someone forgot to cancel when they did not need the number anymore.
