-You are ordering this colossal, approximately 8 gallon/32L capacity, Made in Germany, Gerz, hand painted, 47.5" tall, removable lid, German Beer Stein.

-The high relief body art is inspired by the 1652 painting "Flemish Kermess" by David Teniers the Younger.
-Desirable King Gambrinus removable lid, shown holding his frothy brew and straddling a keg. This is one of at least 3 different lids for these steins (pointed decorative finial, child playing harp, and King Gambrinus)
-Upper inscription loosely translated reads, "He who can finish/empty this stein is truly a man!" A challenge to be taken at your own risk and certainly not without a medic nearby!
-Some information, photos of other lid / color variations, and old photographs / postcards featuring these steins can be found by searching under "World's Largest Stein."  While this piece is not the the World's largest in history, and therefore used in quotes, many references to that name can be found online. The best information and research on this piece is available at at stein-collectors.org in a three part article by Mr. Ronald Gray detailing the collaborative effort between SP Gerz and Thewalt in producing these monumental steins.

Specs:  Approximately 47.5" tall to the top of the King Gambrinus' Crown.  Approximately 36" tall with lid removed. Base diameter is approximately 14 inches in diameter. Capacity of 32L is based on average calculations of these special order steins, stein has not been filled to confirm capacity.
Local pick up / Shipping / Delivery:
Free local pick up in eastern North Carolina.  I am more than willing to discuss delivery, meeting half way, or shipping.  If shipped, this piece will be shipped in 2 separate packages (body and lid separate) with insurance for a worry free transaction.  Shipping is estimated between between 0 and 0 USD depending on your location. If you choose to have it shipped, please order the stein, but do not pay until you receive an invoice from me with accurate shipping, not to exceed 0.00. You should receive an invoice within 5 days. Please plan 2-3 days after payment is complete for me to get your stein to the carrier. Returns:  I accept returns for any reason, but return shipping is at the buyer's own expense. My shipping rates are discounted compared to retail / storefront shipping.  This item will be very expensive to return.
