  • Condition: Body of the stein is in excellent condition. There seems to be minor flaws in the base of the thumbliftthat is on the stem to the ball the pewter is not seamless there seems to be little breaks although the stem is strong.

    Description

    The Berlin stein is usually found with a ceramic inlay in the lid. This stein features a fancy pewter steeple type lid.
    Interestingly, the thumblift is the same as ones with the ceramic lid. It seems to be the original lid. Sometimes an elaborate pewter lid was an upgrade and more expensive than a ceramic inlay lid. The potential problem that I see with the lid is how the stem of the thumblift that goes up to the ball has little spots where the pewter stops then starts again.
