    Description

    This is a BEAUTIFUL AND RARE medal.  It is a US MERCHANT MARINE DISTINGUISHED SERVICE MEDAL AND SEPARATE RIBBON BAR.  The medal was created for award in 1942 during WWII.  This particular medal is from an estate sale of a private medals collection, and was carefully stored in a plastic medal sleeve, and located in a smoke-free, temperature-controlled container.  It is a fabulous and uncommon or rare medal and a super find for medals collectors.
