There is a hairline on one side right under the hiker on the lid. All of those flaws are pictured.     Poachers in the Herders Hut" Stein, Mold # 158.
    It features a table scene with people seated around a table and a dog eating out of his dish.
    Text reads: "Die Jahre vergehen, der Durst bleibt bestehen." (The years pass, the thirst remains.)
    High relief stein with figural lid (hiker), signed "GK", that is unknown designer for the Matthias Girmscheid factory.
    We are not experts of steins, but according to our research, this seems to have been made in the early 20th century, and probably could be considered as antique German stein.
    There is a small crack on the top rim, that seems to be original to the factory process. There is a small chip on the lid and a possible chip on the hikers hat on the lid. There is a hairline on one side right under the hiker on the lid. All of those flaws are pictured. Overall good pre-owned condition, considering the age, with some signs of use, some crazing inside and outside.
    Measures approximately 15-1/2" tall and 5" in diameter at the base. Size - 1.5 L.
