For sale, a typed letter signed "Bobby" (Baker), Secretary for the Majority letterhead dated January 6, 1962 to General Louis Renfrow. Bobby Baker referred to as "Little Lyndon," was a onetime Senate page who, through his close ties to Lyndon B. Johnson and others, became one of the most influential non-elected men in the American government of the 1950s and early ’60s, only to be investigated for and eventually convicted of tax evasion and other crimes. The letter invites the General to have liquid refreshments. One of many scandals included was
Served-U vending machine scandal, allegations of call girls being hired, shuffling large cash payments for LBJ in exchange for government contracts and mob connections between LBJ and Carlos Marcello via Baker. Baker resigned October 7, 1963.
