AS PRESIDENT, one page, 7 x 9, White House letterhead, November 22, 1929. Letter to Miss Marion C. Deane, in full:
I deeply appreciate your letter of November 20th.  The passing of Secretary Good has left a gap in our public life and a lasting grief in the hearts of his friends.
In fine condition, with a trivial brush to the signature.
This letter was written less than a month after the Wall Street Crash of 1929, which signaled the beginning of the Great Depression.

(September 24, 1866 – November 18, 1929) was an American politician from the state of Iowa, who served in the U.S. House of Representatives and in the Cabinet of President Herbert Hoover as Secretary of War. He was a member of the Republican Party.
