This listing is for a Vintage Gilchrist 31 Automatic Ice Cream Scoop with Wood Handle. The Gilchrist 31 was patented in 1914.  Brass and copper mechanical parts add to the classic appeal of this ice cream disher.
Ice Cream Scoop is in excellent/used condtion. Made in the 1910's by Gilcrest. Scoop is made of copper and brass with nickel plating. Works wonderfully, scraper works very smoothly. I believe the scoop is a size 12. Some small dents to scoop. Overall scratches and some chips to the rim of scoop. Thumb tab is slightly worn from use but you can still read "Gilcrest's No. 31"
Ice cream scoop is approx. 11x 3.5x 1.75 inches.
Works just like new, this is a nice and functional scoop for your ice cream needs!
