    Edith Roosevelt autograph note signed on Sagamore Hill stationery, where the Presidential couple lived for most of their lives. Dated 9 November 1929, note is addressed to William David Howe, Charles Scribner's Sons editor, thanking him for a set of volumes on American literature that are to be her ''...bantering companions this winter.'' 2pp. note on front and verso of card is written in black ink and is signed ''Edith Roosevelt''. With a pencil notation in an unknown hand beneath signature. Measures 5.25'' x 3''. Creasing to corners and minor toning. Very good.
