    Description

Apparently, in the 1870's a printer by the name of L. Brown of Washington
printed these broadsides with the addition of the lines: "This evening the performance will be honored by the presence of President Lincoln". None of the 1865 variants contained these words.
This broadside is scarce in its own right... a 19th century memorial to the tragic events of that evening... President Lincoln's assassination at the hands of John Wilkes Booth.
    18 1/2" x 5 1/4", floated within an archival mat and framed to: 22 3/4" x 9 1/2".
    Condition:
Fold lines appear to be reinforced with tape on verso, short edge tears, light soil (not examined out of frame). Very presentable.
