This is a nicely framed WHITE HOUSE display that features an exhibit of this actual RED ROOM White House Artifact & Christmas Card that has been nicely framed and ready to display...it includes the original ENVELOPE.
Featured is an actual Piece of the RED ROOM removed from the WHITE HOUSE during the 1962 renovation supervised by First Lady, Jacqueline Kennedy....the precious artifact is mounted on this beautiful gold frame in an acid free case with a genuine 1994 White House Christmas Card from the Clintons that features artwork by Thomas McKinight of the RED ROOM...
A nice display from the most famous house in the world featuring an actual artifact from one of the most beautiful rooms ever..
This actual piece of red silk wall covering removed from the White House is mounted on the frame in an acid free case, displayed as you see it, with the multi-dimensional matte....this artifact measures approximately 1/4" x 1/8" (the cutting may vary slightly from the photo) and features this engraved Plaque:
The Clinton Christmas Card is mounted on this heavy white brocade cloth with acid-free corner holders, so the entire card is easily removable.
This entire historical piece is best appreciated in person, obviously, but hopefully the pictures & this description will give you the general idea of this grand piece....this overall montage measures approximately 16" x 12"...
...and is ready to hang and display on your wall in your home, office or museum.

When first lady Jacqueline Kennedy came to the White House in 1961, she found the executive mansion poorly maintained and lacking in any furnishings from the previous century. She wasted no time in appointing the first White House curator, and in forming the Fine Arts Committee for the White House to procure furniture and artwork that was either owned by previous presidents, or representative of particular periods in the buildings history. She was careful to insure the public understood that this was not a matter of decorating to her tastes, but an effort to honor American history and craftsmanship, saying: It would be sacrilege to merely redecorate it, a word I hate. It must be restored, and that has nothing to do with decoration. That is a question of scholarship.
