    For bid is an original August 11, 1928 Palo Alto, California STANFORD STADIUM photograph showing a huge crowd an the press stand for Herbert Clark Hoover's official acceptance speech of the Republican Nomination for President of the United States of America.  Photo taken from the southwest stands of the football stadium.  He was elected president later that year...  Hoover was an 1895 graduate of Stanford University.  This is a small, very clear snapshot photograph.
