    defied the ruling class edicts of royal hunting grounds, as they felt their bounty should belong to all men. They openly defied the edicts and often paid a deadly and brutal price. They were local heroes, lamented in song and poem.
    This solid pewter hunter beer stein has three exquisitely detailed relief panels. The front shows the hunter with his catch; rifle over his shoulder and pipe in mouth. Forest and meadow scenes of elk and deer flank the hunter to his left and right. Oak leaves and acorns decorate the lid and bottom rim.
