Antique J W Remy Germany 9¾" Beer Stein # 954 - Der Überraschte Ritter - 0.5L

Description

Here's a fine antique beer stein with tower roof lid, #954, by J.W. Remy, Germany.  The stein has the inscription "Der Überraschte Ritter" and has beautiful graphics of a dog, a knight apparently sneaking a drink, and a person catching him in the act and chasing him off
.  the mark dates it to before 1918.
The stein measures 9¾ inches tall and 4⅛ inches in diameter at the base.  It weighs over 1¾ pounds before packaging.
There are some tiny dots of paint splatter at the top and the side with the fleeing knight and a larger spot near the horse's tail.  I have not attempted to clean these off.  Otherwise, the stein and lid are in excellent condition no chips, nicks, cracks, hairlines or repairs.
The piece is marked on the underside and in the graphics as shown.
