    Product Description
    You are bidding on a Regimental Lithophane 3.(BAYER) PIONIER-BATTAILLON 3.KOMPANIE INGOLFTADT 1911-1913 WWI Lidded Beer Stein. This was made for Unteroffizier Gefreiter (rank equivalent to a Corporal) Eichhorn 3rd ( Bavarian) pioneer battallion. 3rd company. Ingolstadt is the town the unit came from. The bottom is inscribed "Made in Germany" The Lithophane shows a Soldier and a woman. Pewter lid has a Locomotive and wheel with wings above handle. The unit built and repaired German Railroads.The stein is 9-1/2 inches tall and 4-3/4 inches wide at the base, and the Pewter lid is about 3 inches tall from base of lid to top of the locomotive. This is in excellent condition. Used only for display. No chips or cracks. Made in Germany.
