2 Rare 1930 Signed Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt Hand Written Card & Envelope

Description

Two items.
A very scarce if not rare 1930 Mrs. (Edith) Theodore Roosevelt hand written card and envelope.
The card is engraved
“MRS. THEODORE ROOSEVELT, SAGAMORE HILL”.
The hand written card is apparently responding to the recipient that
a copy of one of President Theodore Roosevelt book plates is not available to be sent.
The card is not signed but
the envelope
is signed
by Edith Roosevelt
in the upper right corner where a postage stamp would normally be placed.
The envelope is
postmarked March 20, 1930, Oyster Bay, New York.
The card and envelope both have some old black paper from apparently being saved in a book.
Also, the front middle of the envelope has a few bumps.
The envelope was neatly slit open at the top and was not torn.
Otherwise, both items are nin nice condition with no tears or creases.
The card is 3 ½ x 2 ½ inches in size.
The signed envelope is 4 7/8 x 4 inches.
