1942 Cadillac Series 75 Fleetwood - Amazing Survivor - Only 39K Original Miles - RARE!
Here is an extremely rare find of a 1942 Cadillac Series 75 Fleetwood, 7-Passenger Sedan in amazing original condition inside and out. This very well-preserved classic only has 39K documented original miles on it. Plus comes with its full history and documentation from new. It is one of only 225 ever produced as production of the 1942 Cadillac was cut short due to World War II. The factories and drivetrains of these cars then went to build and power tanks for the war. It's just a wonderful piece of American history also registered with the Classic Car Club of America as a full classic.
Here is some history on this car. It was shipped from the factory on November 28, 1941, and placed on consignment to Claude Nolan Cadillac of Jacksonville, FL, all documented by its original invoice. The car was then delivered as a birthday present to E. E. Bishop, a yacht builder in Palmetto, FL. When Mr. Bishop passed away in 1973. The second owner, James Alderman Sr. purchased the car and the company, Snead Island Boat Works from the estate of Mr. Bishop. In 1985, the car was gifted to his son Jim Alderman Jr who owned it until 2001. The entire story is documented with pictures that come with the car. A cool fact is Snead Island Boat Works is still in business today and I talked to the grandson who remembers the car. The car most recently was acquired from the estate of another collector from Lake Tahoe, CA  in 2020, to a collector in Durango, CO and now resides in Scottsdale, AZ!
Here is a short YouTube video going over the entire car!

    Condition/Issues:
The car was repainted once in its original color in 1976. It shows nicely for its age but does have a good share of patina on the finish which truly fits the car very well. It's all shown in photos and video.
The body and underside appear rust free
The interior appears to be completely original right down to the carpet and is overall in amazing condition for its age. It does have small moth damage on the headliner and seats. All are shown in photos and videos.
The steering wheel, dash, gauge cluster, and all the interior chrome show beautifully.
Inside the trunk is completely original and looks amazing. The spare tire is missing but the tools are all there and complete.
Under the hood is all stock and original. It appears to be mostly untouched
All the glass is original in the car and excellent with the exception of some slight delamination of driver and passenger side glass. The car does come with the correct replacement glass, new in the box if you want to change it out.
All the chrome and trim are mostly in nice original condition. Some of the chrome appears to have been re-chromed at some point. The trunk handle chrome shows the most age.
Original rubber on the running boards and original weatherstripping
Runs and drives as smoothly as a new Cadillac.
Everything appears to work except for the wipers and radio (due to 12-volt conversion).
It was converted to a 12-volt system with an alternator for ease of use.
    Just an awesome survivor.
It needs absolutely nothing to drive and enjoy today!
