Covers missing, outer spine missing, no copyright printing date, multiple edge and corner tears, crease, fold on early pages and back pages. Tanning and marks. Pages are bound, early ones somewhat loosely, most pages clean but there are pages with marks stains. A few old added loose recipes between pages. Photographs of President's wives. There may be missing pages at the front and back, last page is index page 618p and first page is the dedication page to President's Wives. There is some paper shedding. The other book is Modern Mixes for Bakers, by Calumet Baking Powder Company, 1914. The hardback has separated from the page binding, held in place by a rope that goes through the boards and pages. Heavy marks on the boards, lots of edge wear. Spotting free pages, some smudge on pages. Tanning on pages, few creases. 64 pages. Both kept in an old clear plastic bag.
